Ziti Bake

***Bake frozen for 2 hours @ 350. Remember to remove saran wrap under foil before cooking***

Time consuming to brown hamburger/onions, shred cheese, cook noodles. Plan extra time for assembly as well. Bought ingredients for 8 times the recipe but it made enough for 2 meals each. A deeper "roaster" pan would have made layering easier.

I cooked this covered for almost two hours. When I took it out to check it, the middle was still totally frozen. I uncovered it and kicked the temp up to 375 to help get things going and we just ate around the middle. I don't know how long it would need to be cooked through, but just be warned if cooking from frozen.

Pretty yummy...plenty of meat (for us at least) and I think we didn't even do the full amount called for in the recipe (is that right, Angel?).

I cooked this just as instructed (2 hrs frozen) and it turned out great. Maybe it is the difference from the pan size. Rob said it was one of his favorites but he was pretty hungry. I cooked more meat for the second layer but it was still under what was called for. Perhaps next time we put yours and Jen's in 2-9x9 pans instead of 9x13.

I cooked for 2 hours and mine was still frozen also. It could be my oven though. It is old.
